As a drummer / percussionist for the past 23 years Leo has been playing professionally and performing throughout the World. In Italy he had the opportunity to study with the most coveted teachers and developed his skills attending several workshops as well as clinics with the most influential musicians in the world. Leo started his professional career in 1981 and gained his experience performing in Italy, Europe and overseas.
Since he settled down in London in 1996, he has been committed as a full time band member as well as a session player performing studio and live work. Leo also has established a very busy private and public teaching schedule in North London including percussion workshop.
His career in the UK started playing with two Blues Bands: “Mutton Jeff” and “The Rubbernecks”. He gained his British experience joining several Indie-rock bands performing in the most renowned clubs in the capital and throughout the country.
1998 he joined the punk-rock band "Human Oddities" releasing a single titled “BLAST OFF”, which was nominated "Single of the month" by “Making Music” magazine (January 2001).
October 2004 they recorded their first album “Rusty nails fairy tales”. Over the past five years Leo also had the opportunity to develop and grow his passion for Latin music, performing with many different bands in the UK and abroad.
2003 he became art director as well as bandleader and drummer of the ultimate and innovative London based Latin production “Tropicalia ”.
2004 he covered the role of tour manager experiencing a three weeks period with a Chicago funk-blues band featuring the trumpet player Boney Fields.
2005 Leo toured in the UK with the theatrical production “Mad about Musical”.
