Simon is a freelance musician with over 10 years experience specializing in the Double Bass, he also plays Bass Guitar and Cello. Simon holds a degree in music from Salford University from where he graduated in 1997 and has been playing in bands since the age of 17. He worked as the resident weekly bassist in the Tommy Melville quartet at the Rhythm station in Rawtenstall from 1996-1998, where he played wth internationally acclaimed jazz soloists like Jim Mullen, Kenny Baker, Peter King, Spike Robinson, Jack Parnell, Bud Shank, Gary Potter, Dave O’Higgins and Gerard Presencer .

In 1997 Simon toured extensively throughout Europe and Australia playing with the RAE & CHRISTIAN live band. In 2000 Simon formed FINGATHING with Dj Peter Parker whom he has co-written and produced music with ever since. With Fingathing Simon has toured throughout Europe, S. Africa, U.S and South East Asia.
