The newly re fitted control room has undergone many changes in ergonomics and equipment fit since it's design was first proposed in mid 2002. The air-conditioned room has had a great deal of attention paid to the acoustics. A combination of wall and ceiling linings plus the fitting of diffusers and absorbers provides for an ideal neutral listening environment.
The studio electronics we have chosen provide a contemporary choice of both analogue and digital equipment. Flexibility and speed of operation feature equally high as audio quality in our requisition requirements.
Redundancy has been designed into the construction to allow for additional audio and visual equipment to be installed should a specific task dictate its requirement.

Since it's inaugural opening, clients and musicians have consistently praised the quality and aesthetic ambience of the studios performance areas. The studio floor measures 400Sq feet. Of which 280Sq feet is hardwood parquet with the remaining area carpeted. Adjoining the live room is the studios primary vocal and VO booth. This room measures 43 Sq feet, has a large double glazed window overlooking the main performance area, and can accommodate up to 2 recording artistes.
The main patch bay has a total of 48 lines terminating in the main control room. Audio and video tie lines to and from the vocal booth, lounge, basement and headphone amplifier distribution also terminate at this main patch bay. The entire studios wiring architecture has been designed to be completely flexible to accommodate complex and diverse recording and monitor set ups.
For rehearsal and live recording purposes, the room is also equipped with the following independently controlled monitor system comprising:

2 JBL Venue series VS3215-6 sidefills plus subs
4 Skan 15"+2" floor monitors
2 Peavey HiSys2XT drum fills
Urei/Matrix monitor amp rack with BSS soundweb processor
Matrix side fill amp rack with BSS 336T/Void acoustics processors

In addition to the main recording areas we also have the Arc lounge.
In it's former life, the studio facility had been a night club. During it's conversion into a studio it was decided that the bar should be retained as a feature and the drinks serving area converted into a galley style kitchen.
This spacious open plan facility offers:

- Toilet and shower facilities

Note: All recording and production services are subject to a minimum 4 hour booking period. Video production services and demo recording services are subject to a minimum 8 hour booking period.
Exempting multiple day bookings including a Sunday, all individual Sunday bookings are subject to a 12.5% surcharge. Exempting lower rate budget 2 track demo recording sessions, all studio rates are inclusive of engineer and where applicable, use of studio owned HDR blank recording media for the duration of the session. |
