Located in the city centre of Manchester Blueprint Studios comprises of two world-class recording studios that mix both classic analogue and cutting hedge digital technology plus 5 purpose built rehearsal spaces. Interiors by Igloo Design. Exteriors by Salford City Council.
Both recording studios are tie-lined to all live rooms plus both lounges and the naturally lit, loft style live space affectionately known as 'The Big Room'. ISDN and Broadband is also available throughout.

The Big Room is best known for being the space in which Elbow recorded their third album, 'Leaders of the Free World’. It was during these sessions that the room adopted its name. Aside from recording The Big Room can also cater for private events up to 200 people. Below are a few suggestions for possible uses although the room is hugely versatile and would suit many different situations.

The Big Room is fitted with both 3 phase, 16 and 32 amp electricity supplies. 8 metre drop black acoustic drapes surround The Big Room on smooth runners that can be opened to reveal the original Victorian brickwork and fireplaces and to also alter the sonic qualities of the room. We have 18 pieces of 8' x 4' steel deck staging with 3' legs and custom steps that can be arranged and utilised to suit your needs. They can also be removed if not required.

5 PURPOSE BUILT, AIR CONDITIONED, FULLY SOUND PROOFED REHEARSAL SPACES.
We understand the importance of taking a break while rehearsing and this in mind we have provided a dedicated area just for that. All bands / artists have access to:
- POOL TABLE
- DRINKS ANS REFRESHMENTS
- COMFORTABLE BAR SEATING AND BAR SEATING.
Blueprint also houses a small shop selling strings, picks, sticks and other accessories at reasonable prices for when it all goes wrong. But for when it's all going right, each of our rooms have the option to create an ambient recording of your rehearsal.

Each room includes as standard:
- Mackie CFX mixing console with built in effects
- Mackie active speakers (pair)
- 3 Shure SM 58 mics
- 3 mic stands
- 3 XLR cables
- 2 PZM mics
- 1 Sony Minidisk player
- 2 guitar hooks (per room)
Blueprint Studios is available for rehearsing 11am to 11pm, seven days a week except Saturdays when we close at 6.30pm. Arrangements for working outside these hours can be discussed. Blueprint Studios will be closed for rehearsing on Bank Holidays.
Secure parking is available also on site

Artists using Studio 1 can enjoy the exclusive use of our mezzanine private lounge complete with gallery overlooking the studio's spacious live room.
Facilities include
TV/PLASMA SCREEN, DVD PLAYER, GAMES CONSOLE, TELEPHONE, BROADBAND INTERNET ACCESS, PRO-TOOLS M-BOX SYSTEM, COMFORTABLE SOFAS, AIR-CONDITIONING, SHOW/WASH ROOM
The private lounge has also been tie-lined to both studios 1 and 2, so if you like the sound of this room it is possible to record from you comfortable sofa, watching your favourite DVD, on the phone to your mum.
public lounge
All artists using the studios have access to our public lounge which has been specially fitted with broadband Internet access and a heavy duty professional punch bag so you don't have to take out your frustrations on anyone you know. (Gloves are provided free of charge!)
catering
The studio has been fitted with a fully equipped kitchen should you wish to expand you culinary skills or simply make a cup of tea. If you would rather have your meals provided for, we can arrange this as well.

On booking the client will be required to pay a 25% deposit to confirm the booking.

cancellations
Cancellations made with 4 weeks of the booked time will incur a charge of 25% of the total amount.
3 weeks of the booked time will incur a charge of 50% of the total amount.
2 weeks of the booked time will incur a charge of 75% of the total amount.

£8.00 per hour for small rooms
£10.00 per hour for large rooms
OFF PEAK RATES AND TIMES (Monday to Friday 11amm - 5pm)

£8.00 per hour for large rooms
Payment for each session is due in full before the sessions begins.
Cancellations must be made within 48hrs of the booked time to avoid any charge.
There is a minimum booking time of three hour
