The Dairy Studios, is situated just 10 minutes from the West End by Tube, in a private secluded courtyard. The vibrant and culturally diverse Brixton provides a huge range of shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, sports-facilities and of course the market.. Should you really need to venture from the area, The Dairy is located minutes from major Tube, Train and Bus terminals.
Surrounding a courtyard, The Dairy has off-street parking and a private garden. The Studios are tucked away in their own private area, The Dairy offers a tranquil and unusually quiet working ambience within the bustle of London. Since our launch in July 1995 we have up-graded Studio One to a Neve VR60. We have built a second studio which accommodates the DDA AMR, and have completed building 4 Production Rooms last year. The Studio's equipment is constantly being upgraded with both vintage Classics and cutting edge technology. Finally, the staff who have joined us are all dedicated individuals, with solid musical and commercial backgrounds, and are determined to make your session seamless.
ADSL lines to all the rooms allow easy digital data transfer from one studio to another. Also 24 hour internet access and speedy up-grade downloads. |

All the Studios at the Dairy have been built to the design of Recording Architecture, leading acoustic and studio designers (www.aaa-design.com) Their brief for Studio 1 was to build a highly versatile studio with a strong emphasis on acoustic quality.
All areas (including the vaulted Recreation Room) are extensively tie-lined to one another and the Control room.The use of Oxygen Free cabling throughout reduces interference maintaining a clean signal. The live room (50 square metres) has three additional separate isolation areas. A spacious control room (38 square metres) with adjacent machine room, has been constructed to exacting acoustic requirements. The areas allow complete flexibility offering various set-up combinations to suit any recording requirements. Designed to satisfy the most demanding of sessions, Studio 1 has exceptional acoustics coupled with large, airy recording areas. The natural light that pours through the skylight and windows is enhanced by ambient lighting. The studio is fully self-contained, with a private kitchen, Showers and a Recreation Room that overlooks the garden and courtyard. Recreation Provided: Table Tennis in the yard (weather permitting), Table Football, Playstation.
Brixton Rec, 5 minutes walk away, provides Swimming, squash, tennis,gym facilities etc.

In October 2001 work was completed on The Dairy Studio 3. Designed to be predominantly used as a production/programming/writing room, Studio 3 is fully equipped for most requirements. We have recently installed an AMEK 2500 desk. It used to live at Blackwing, so some of you might remember it. There is an eighteen sq m live room available with studio 3 on request. As with our Production Rooms, Studio 3 has Kitchen and Toilet facilities as well as its own climate-control system.
