HD1 Studios is part of Beaumont Street Studios, which was set up in 1985 and has grown into a highly respected recording facility that work with all types of musicians and has built an impressive professional client over the years from Leeds, Manchester and further a field.

HD1 Studio is a purpose built studio with separate vocal, drum and live areas so can cater for all types of recordings from first demo's to major recording artists.

Our experienced engineers and producers work with state of the art equipment and if required, can assist with the recording and any production ideas that you have. We also provide CD production and mastering, cassette copying and media transfer facilities, all at competitive rates.

While the production is always polished, we try to keep the atmosphere relaxed. HD1 offers a creative space to chill out, interact with musicians, and experiment. Basically, HD1 provides the perfect environment to get those creative juices flowing and make great music ..so come and make yourself at home.

With the addition of Pro Tools we now have one of the best equipped recording studios in the West Yorkshire region, and one of the few recording studios in the country that can combine the warm analogue sound of tape with the clean sharp sound of digital.

Steve Whitfield (freelance)
Steve is a well-established and much sought after sound engineer/producer who has worked with the studio since 1990. Steve has worked with a wide range of clients including The Cure, Shed Seven, Chumbawamba, Four day Hombre, Clint Boon, 10 000 Things, XC-NN, Buen Chico and The Mission to name a few.

Dave Creffield (freelance)
Dave produced Embraces No 1 Album ''The Good Will Out'' at HD1 and is well respected within the music industry. Having worked with the likes of Kaiser Chiefs, The Honeymoon Machine, Sister Of Mercy & Utah Saint just to name a few, Dave's skills as a producer/engineer are in great demand.

Sam Roberts (in-house)
Sam has been engineering for the studio since 1987 and has worked with a variety of clients including Creation Roots, Ajamu, Ray Lewis (Drifters), Pianoman, Harlem Gem, Inder Goldfinger (Ian Brown) etc. Sam has also enjoyed chart success with his own band Plus One. His clientele also includes Private Companies, Local Councils, School & Community Groups/Choirs, Radio & TV Companies etc.

Jason Salisbury (in-house)
Jason has been with us since 2002, he brings 15 years of sequencing experience with him. Having worked with such bands as Test Switch Isolator, Insomnia, Apple Green, Artizan, The Cut, Chemical Chaos, Bodica, Kozer and Pianoman. He enjoys an excellent rapport with all our clients, and now is a vital part of HD1 Studios.
