Sherborne Sound studio is a small commercial recording studio located in the popular and easily accessible village of Radcliffe-on-Trent, with excellent transport links to Nottingham. Established in 1989 the studio is still family owned and run and is an important part of the overall company which specialise in P.A. equipment and installed sound systems.
The studio is ideally placed for singer/songwriters, post production, corporate voiceover work or location recordings. If you’re looking for professional results, but also value friendly service and a relaxing atmosphere look no further. There’s space to relax between sessions, refreshments available and a music shop to browse in! Local facilities include good accommodation, excellent places to eat, traditional village pubs – with ‘live’ music - and free parking.
"Sherborne Sound's in-house studio engineer, Mark, is a fully-qualified engineer and musician who has recently written and produced his first full-length studio album, which is currently finding its way across North America and Europe. He has also recorded as a session musician and toured at venues around the UK with a number of bands. Having an experienced musician behind the desk makes Sherborne Sound a uniquely creative environment for recording; somewhere you can relax with an engineer who truly understands your musical vision!"

The Recording room
The recording room is approx. 12sqm. Professionally designed and treated using 14 large acoustic panels for sound absorption, creates the ideal recording space for vocal and instrumental work.
The Recording Interface
We use a 32 track Protools system through a digi 001 digital recording interface, situated in our comfortable control room, which enables us to record up to 8 tracks simultaneously, ideal for drum kits and small ensembles etc.
Microphones
A selection of different mics are available depending on the application, but we find that AudioTechnica mics provide great results in our studio and for live recording mics.
Effects
We have a wide range of plugins available in Protools - Waves, Focusrite, Bomb factory, Antares, DUY, GRM, Joe Meek, Kind of Loud - to cater for the most demanding processing and FX needs.
