Michaela Betts is a professional singer songwriter, session singer, vocal coach and pianist based in London UK. Born in Belgium into a singer songwriter family, the first song she taught herself to play on the piano (at the tender age of 4!) was 'Airport by The Motors, after falling in love with its sad chords and sweeping melodies - both of which are strong features in her own writing style.
After studying music and drama at The Arts Educational School, Michaela moved to London to pursue her singing and songwriting career. Performing solo, she toured the live circuit playing at venues including The Orange, The Marquee, Kashmir Klub, Olympia Stadium and The Bedford Theatre whilst also building a reputation as an accomplished session singer.
Michaela is currently a member of TheGhostOrchestra and plays with the female artist Dawn Azusa. She also sings regularly for film, TV and games - credits include the soundtrack to the award-winning sci-fi feature film Slipstream starring Sean Astin & Vinnie Jones, Teknolust starring Tilda Swinton, the upcoming game title from Eidos Just Cause and commercial work for Pilsner, Coke, Nescafe and Levis
