| Drumming |
|
Finding Rhythm Together are workshops run by accomplished, professional African and Latin percussionists. They are a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in African or Latin drumming and are available to beginner, intermediate and proficient drummers. Drumming is a very inclusive form of music that anyone can have a go at. During the workshops participants learn how to match the rhythms they produce with those of others. This is an excellent way to develop listening skills, teamwork and creativity as well as improving rhythm and co-ordination. All are encouraged to put their own compositions together for the grand finale Jam Session where participants can experience how their own work interacts with others to produce an even bigger and better sound.

| Rapping |
|
Rap workshops appeal to young people from a wide range of backgrounds and any age group because young people have the opportunity to express themselves freely on any subject they choose.
Rapping is a very inclusive art form and doesn't require expensive equipment. It is a verbal skill that can be practiced and honed to perfection at almost anytime. Rapping encourages young people to look more closely at the words they choose and broaden their vocabulary. Young people who may normally shy away from writing can be motivated to put pen to paper as they twist and shape their words into the right rhyme and rhythm. The workshops provide a safe environment for young people to articulate their views about sensitive issues and express their emotions in a structured way.
